A public, RESTful JSON API exposing all posts (filterable by tag, author, or search-query), so we don't have to hack the RSS feed for search or "related posts".
Very much in progress! More info here, for developers who are interested in how it’s taking shape (or want to help build it) – https://github.com/TryGhost/Ghost/wiki/%5BWIP%5D-API-Documentation

Adding OData on the API would solve all demands for filter, limit, sort order, etc.
it is a very good idea. wp has a API to do that. ghost should also have such a API

This will be a perfect way for me to create some backup scripts for my blog.

An api to send JSON and create a ghost blog post. This will possibly have title , text (markdown), tags, author email as parameters.
Also, when the user wants to create automatic daily posts which are kinda mundane (Ex: Daily weather report, Dialy latest news update , etc).
This will enable too much dynamic content in Ghost.

Just read the linked API Document. I found out about the API from the "Two Years in" post.
I would love to provide some input into that API Doc if you would like suggestions?
